The Iguan Art Studio was established I 1997 by Yana and Alexander Galitsky, two artists both practicing different aspects of at and art teaching. Yana Galitsky has a Masters Degree in art training, She played a major part in establishing the Newe Ne’eman School of Arts, where she later taught for several years. In addition, she spent three years teaching art in numerous other schools in the vicinity of her home. Alexander Galitsky, who also has Masters Degree in the art training field, is a graphic designer by profession. He spent more than 10 years directing the art department of the Centre of Educational Technology. Nowadays he teaches wood carving, publishes art books, designs Internet sites (most notably the official site of the famous Russian performer Slava Polunin www.slavasnowshow.com) and is currently involved in several other art projects. The fact that both artists are teaching in the studio together enables our students to choose from a wide array of art techniques and combine them into a single art course. The studio offers a variety of art studies, such as: Various techniques in sculpting and drawing Masks, puppets and marionettes Engraving techniques Architectural model-making Wood carving and engraving Multimedia and online design Our studio always welcomes new students. Morning and evening groups for adults and children of different ages are available throughout the week. Each student is free to focus on a different topic.
